All of my cutting boards are 100% custom made with local hardwoods when available. I support local business exclusively for ALL of my wood, including Walnut, Maple, Purpleheart, Zebrawood, Leopardwood, Paduak, etc. I joint and plane each piece for a perfectly smooth seam. I use only Titebond 3 wood glue for my boards and meticulously sand each board from 80/120/180/220 grits, raising the grain twice throughout the process. This ensures a smooth board today and for years to come.
Included with your purchase is our custom made board conditioner, which is a blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Monthly application (of only a teaspoon or so) will keep your board in perfect condition long after you’ve passed it on to your kids.
Custom cutting boards, and specifically end grain cutting boards are truly a work of art. They are to be cared for, and for that effort, will last a lifetime.
